These meanings come from Chinese face reading (Mian Xiang) and popular mole astrology. They are cultural interpretations, not medical facts. A mole’s meaning usually depends on location, left/right side, color, and whether it is hidden.
How readers usually judge a mole
- Luckier: dark, glossy, round, slightly raised; hidden in hair, eyebrow, or ear.
- Less lucky: dull, gray, uneven, or very obvious in a sensitive “palace.”
- Traditional rule of thumb: hidden moles are better than highly visible ones.
Forehead
Linked to early life, career, and authority (often ages 15–30).
- Center: wisdom, independence, leadership; some schools also say a quieter, less flashy career.
- Right side: ambition, later wealth, professional success.
- Left side: overthinking, early struggle, or uneven luck.
- Temples / hairline: travel, moving away from home, sudden change, or luck through new environments.
Between the eyebrows (Yin Tang)
Often treated as one of the strongest spots.
- Read as career growth, recognition, and mental power.
- Can also mean a restless mind if the mole looks dull or poorly formed.
Eyebrows
Linked to siblings, colleagues, and talent.
- Hidden inside the brow (“pearl in the grass”): very lucky — quiet talent, wealth, and intelligence.
- Above the brow: wealth is possible, but you work harder for it.
- End of the brow: authority and leadership.
- Left vs right: left is often read as more difficulty; right as smoother marriage or family luck.
Eyes (beyond the iris mole)
You already covered moles in the eye. Nearby spots are read separately:
- Eyelid: lucky versions = turning hardship into fortune; unlucky versions = strain.
- Under the eye (“tear mole”): emotional depth, worry, or relationship hardship.
- Outer eye corner: charm and social luck, with a warning about messy romance.
Cheeks
Linked to social power and how others see you.
- Right cheek: popularity, leadership, public recognition.
- Left cheek: inner life, empathy, or a more private / self-contained nature.
- Some older Chinese readings also warn of lawsuits or bluntness if the mole looks “bad.”
Nose (Wealth Palace)
Strongly tied to money, desire, and midlife.
- Tip: money skill if the nose is full; spending or money leakage if the tip is thin.
- Sides / wings: money moving in and out — active finances, not always savings.
- Bridge: often read as a midlife money test.
- Personality side: passion, magnetism, and sometimes a quick temper.
Lips and mouth
Linked to speech, appetite, charm, and desire.
- Upper lip: eloquence, attractiveness, many friends.
- Lower lip: love of food, comfort, sensory pleasure, family life.
- Mouth corners: appetite plus popularity — or loose talk, depending on the rest of the mouth. Some readings treat this as a wealth spot.
Chin and jaw
Linked to later life, foundations, and staying power.
- A good chin mole: determination, travel with a stable ending, comfortable old age.
- A dull or poorly shaped chin mole: frequent moving, job changes, or late-life worry.
- Right chin: more diplomatic / logical.
- Left chin: blunt honesty.
Ears
Usually one of the luckiest areas.
- Earlobe: blessings, comfort, longevity, kind nature. Even luckier if hidden.
- Both ears: influence and an easier, more comfortable life.
- Top of the ear: intelligence and sharp judgment.
Positions often called especially lucky
Common “best” spots in these systems:
- Hidden in the eyebrow
- Between the eyebrows
- Earlobe / inside the ear
- Right cheek (for public success)
- Hairline / hidden in hair
Positions often treated as more sensitive
- Under-eye tear mole
- Thin nose tip
- Very obvious mole on the wealth or marriage areas
- Dull, gray, or rapidly changing moles
Practical note: if a mole changes color, grows quickly, itches, bleeds, or sits on the eyelid margin, treat that as a health question, not a fortune question, and see a doctor.
